Ladies, please note. We will take a test over the balance of this book when we get back from Spring Break. Yes; I know. I have a life, too. Also note: we have covered twenty-three chapters of 193 pages. We lack but seven chapters of a whopping 71 pages.

Well; yes, "Blakeney Manor is acceptable to those who are not familiar with the canon, but we, of course, know what the family'sreal name is; don't we? And its French equivalent? Hmmm?
Because every civilized person speaks fluent French.

I, at least once heard
the phrase "for the nonce," meaning at that time, "for
the now." When I googled
"nonce," come of the con-
notations made the word
unusable. But I did find
